Just arrived from Innokin is the iTaste MVP V2 , the successor to the WILDLY popular Itaste MVP mod.  Now I’m personally a big fan of the original iTaste MVP.  I like box mods.  I like internal batteries, and I like variable voltage.

The MVP V2 improves on the MVP design in a lot of ways.  At first glance it looks EXACTLY like the original MVP.  The button is even in the same place.  Although this V2 button seems much more durable.  The USB charging, and USB out remain the same.  The Top and bottom are no longer super shiny chrome metal, but now are a more soft anodized looking finish.

What has changed in the MVP V2 is the guts.  It’ now variable voltage AND variable wattage.  Up to 11w in 0.5 increments.  It will now also check the ohms of whatever ‘Omizer you have attached.

I was expecting the interface to be the same as the iTaste VV V3 but it is not.  The wattage is controlled by the top button, and the voltage is controlled by the bottom button, and it only goes up.  So you press and hold the top button ( LABELED P ).  It will show you puffs,  then switch to “P 6.0” the lowest wattage setting, you can then click the top button to adjust the wattage up.  If you want to go down you keep pressing the button until is cycles back down to “P 6.0”

It works the same way with the bottom button ( LABELED U, but I think it’s supposed to be a V ).  Press and hold until it says “V 3.3” then adjust the voltage up in 0.1 increments up to 5V.  It’s strange they didn’t just stick with the iTaste VV V3 interface. But this still works just fine.  Hold both buttons to read your OHMS.

Now I have got this to fire with a 0.8ohm Cyclone rebuildable, as well as the 1.0ohm Kayfun lite pictured above, but it’s knocking the voltage down to around 3.3v , which leads me to believe it’s not designed at all for “sub ohm” coils.  So stick with the 1.5 - 3.0ohm coils on this.

Lastly Innokin has addressed my main gripe with the iTaste MVP,  the “beauty ring” on the top no longer hangs over the side of the mod.  This just makes me so happy.

Obviously I will report back in good time via my Youtube my experience with the iTaste MVP V2.

But does it stand up without wobbling because of the output switch..?
